Please note: To connect Instagram you will need a business Instagram account. Please follow these steps.


Please note: an Instagram account can only be connected to a single Facebook Page.


To connect Facebook and/or Instagram with the Acorn portal you will need to complete these steps:


  1. If you do not have one, add a Facebook Page to your Facebook Profile. Please follow these instructions.

  2. Connect the Facebook Page to your business Instagram account. Please follow these instructions.

  3. Log in to the Acorn portal.

  4. On desktop click the User Settings link in the sidebar.
    On mobile tap the 'hamburger' navigation icon at top right.

  5. Click or tap the Social Media tab.

  6. Click or tap the Connect Facebook or Connect Instagram button.

    Please note: when prompted to log in to Facebook, double-check that you are logging in to the correct Facebook Profile that has the connected Page.

  7. After returning to the Acorn portal you will be prompted to select which Facebook page and/or Instagram account you would like to use to complete the connection.



What if my Page is not appearing in Acorn's selection list? Option 1 - Disconnect


If you see some Facebook Page(s) and Instagram account(s) in Acorn's selection list after connecting, but not the one you are interested in connecting:


1. Remove the Acorn social media connections for Facebook and Instagram in the Acorn portal.


2. On Facebook desktop click your profile photo, click Settings & Privacy, then Settings.
On mobile tap the 'hamburger' navigation icon at top right, then Settings & Privacy, then Settings


3. Scroll to Your Activity and click or tap Business Integrations.


4. Under Active, you should see "Acorn: The Influence Company".


5. Click or tap Remove


6. Go back to the Acorn portal and re-connect your social accounts.

What if my Page is not appearing in Acorn's selection list? Option 2 - Add Page


There have been times when a Facebook Page, even though connected to a Facebook Profile, does not appear in the Acorn selection list.


To add this Page to the Acorn selection list:


  1. On desktop click your profile photo, click Settings & Privacy, then Settings.
    On mobile tap the 'hamburger' navigation icon at top right, then Settings & Privacy, then Settings.

  2. Scroll to Your Activity and click or tap Business Integrations.

  3. Under Active, you should see "Acorn: The Influence Company".

  4. On desktop click View and edit.
    On mobile tap Acorn: The Influence Company.

  5. On this screen you may see a list of your pages with one or more unselected. Select the Page(s) you would like to appear.

  6. Visit the Acorn portal and re-connect with Facebook.
